ecoplus will react with acid to form a weak base.
Biological Hazards
ecoplus can be irritating due to the dryness and fine structure of the product. This will only occur during the handling of the product and does not apply to the encapsulated product.
The product is not toxic for human consumption, but must not be seen as a foodstuff.

Exposure
Inhalation: |
The particle size of the product is large enough not to enter the lungs.
Inhalation of high dust levels may cause irritation to the mucous membranes of the nose, throat and lungs. |

The dust particles may cause irritation to the eyes, which might cause redness. |
Skin contact: |
Because of the high pH level of the product, the effect will be similar to that of a strong soap. Long- term exposure might result in skin irritation. First Aid Measures |
First Aid Measures
Eye irritation: |
Wash eyes thoroughly with running water to restore eye pH & to remove dust particles. |
Skin irritation: |
Wash skin with soap and water. |
Inhalation: |
Remove from dusty area. Give water to drink. |
If any of the above symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
Always wear protective clothing when handling product.

Fire Fighting Measures
Water and dry fire extinguishers can be used in areas where ecoplus is stored.
After encapsulation with other material, use appropriate extinguisher relative to the specific material.

Accidental Release Measures
Handle the material as ordinary dusty powder.
Product can be swept up or vacuumed.

Store product in a dry place. Keep away from sources of combustion. Shelf life unlimited if kept dry. |
